Claire Jackel received her BFA from the University of Colorado in 2004 and her MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2009. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at Oakland Museum of California, Schneider Museum of Art, Ashland Oregon, Rena Bransten Gallery, San Francisco, California, Marine Contemporary Salon, Venice, California, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo-UACh Valdivia, Chile, Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Bogota, Colombia, and Dar al-Kalima College, Bethlehem, Palestine. She received a fellowship to be an artist in residence at the Vermont Studio Center in 2010. In 2008, she was a recipient of the Murphy and Cadogan Fellowship in the Fine Arts. Claire was been a staff sculptor and studio assistant to Charles Ray from 2012-2020. She lives and works in Denver.
